On the Occasion of the International Women’s Day the British Embassy: Eman Homaid has consistently been making her best efforts to achieve victory and dignity of human beings, Insaf Center is a non-profit organization represented by qualified members.
In a post on its official Facebook page, the British embassy in Yemen praised the Chairperson of INSAF Center for Defending Freedoms & Minorities, Eman Homaid.
This post comes on the occasion of the International Women’s day, and stated: “The fourth character that we talked about on the occasion of International Women’s Day, was of course, as you expected, the first advocate for minority rights, chairperson of INSAF Center and she participated in writing the book, “Minorities in Yemen” (Reality and Challenges), available in both Arabic and English. Miss Eman Homaid, who did not hesitate to make any effort to triumph for the dignity of her fellow mankind, regardless of their ethnic or ideological background, and continues still in her struggle to raise awareness about these influential issues via Insaf Center, a non-profit organization represened by qualified members . Eman has also held a seminar in early March at the Swiss Press Club in Geneva, in which the conflict in Yemen and its impact on minorities was discussed. An honorable Yemeni role model that deserves praise on International Women’s Day”.
The embassy had previously indicated that it would provide its followers with information on the fourth personality, among a series of publications on leading women figures in the field of human rights in Yemeni society, alongside Rofah Hassan, Nada Al-Ahdal, and Amat Al-Alim Al-Suswa. This will help enhance the presence of the INSAF Center, both locally and internationally, and will aid in their continued work towards protecting basic rights and freedoms, especially for the minority community in Yemen.
