Ensaf Center meets with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights

On August 19, the Chairperson of Insaf Center for Defending Freedoms and Minorities met with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights – Yemen office. A number of issues related to religious and ethnic minorities and how to promote and protect them were discussed during the meeting.
Moreover, the two parties discussed the ongoing violations of minorities in Yemen during the current conflict. They also discussed the mechanism of joint action towards activating minority issues and enhancing public freedoms and protecting minorities in Yemen, in a manner that leads to respect for freedoms and the consolidation of the principle of coexistence and acceptance of the other.
The meeting came within the framework of the endeavors led by the Insaf Center towards protecting minorities in Yemen, adopting their issues and highlighting them in international and human rights forums.
