Diplomats and specialists in the Middle East bureau at the US State Department held a meeting with the head of INSAF Center for Defending Freedoms & Minorities, Eman Homaid, and Executive Director, Ibrahim Nagib.
The meeting addressed several human rights issues, most notably examining the reality of religious freedom in Yemen and the issues of religious detainees and oppression based on religious belief.
Homaid reviewed the reality of religious minorities and the most prominent challenges facing freedom of belief.
The attendees appreciated the great role and efforts provided by INSAF to improve the reality of minority rights in Yemen
These discussions came at a time to discuss with specialists and reach mechanisms to improve the reality of religious freedom in Yemen.
The meeting concluded with a set of important recommendations and stressed the continuation of holding meetings that build a new reality that preserves freedom of belief in Yemen.
