INSAF Center, one of the Yemeni civil society organizations, announces a change of its name from “INSAF for Defending Freedoms and Minorities” to “INSAF for Rights and Development.” This change is part of a new strategic vision adopted by the center to enhance its efforts in the protection of human rights and sustainable development in Yemen, while emphasizing its continued work in defending minorities.
We have realized that the challenges facing Yemeni society are not limited to minority rights alone. While defending minority rights remains an essential part of our work, we are now seeking to expand our scope to encompass human rights in general and sustainable development. This change reflects our commitment to promoting social justice and comprehensive development.
This step comes as part of strengthening the role of the center and expanding its work to include broader issues concerning Yemeni society, contributing to the enhancement of their rights and community development. This change aligns with the country’s evolving direction towards achieving its goals in a better and more inclusive manner.
Moreover, the center has also decided to change its logo, which represents its spirit, goals, values, and vision, enhancing its institutional identity in its journey towards achieving justice and development (as attached below).
The change in the name of INSAF Center is not merely a cosmetic change but an expression of our deep commitment to promoting human rights and development in Yemen. We believe that development and human rights are two paths that ultimately converge on the same road, and one cannot be achieved without the other.
We call on all members of the community and international partners to support us in this new phase of our work, believing that cooperation and partnership are key to achieving our common goals. We are excited about the future and look forward to working with all of you to realize our vision of a more just and developed Yemeni society, for a better and more equitable future and prosperity for all.
