Eman Homaid, Chairman of INSAF Center for Rights and Development, highlighted the suffering of the vulnerable and human rights violations in Yemen. She delivered this speech during the International Human Rights Day event at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris, following an invitation from the French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian.
In her speech during the event, she emphasized that this event represents an important opportunity to express the suffering of the Yemeni people and to convey their voices to the world. It is a global platform provided by France, reflecting France’s deep and ongoing commitment to the values of human rights, freedoms, and the rights of women and minorities in Yemen.
The conference, attended by prominent global and UN human rights activists, including Volker Turk, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Eman express her gratitude to France, both the government and the people, for being a country of rights and freedoms. She thanked them for providing the opportunity to speak on behalf of those who have no voice in their own country and for their ongoing support for human rights issues.
This participation is part of INSAF Center’s continuous efforts to bring the voice of the Yemeni community to the international stage and contribute to resolving human rights issues. Through its international engagements, the center seeks to enhance Yemen’s international presence and contribute to discussions on humanitarian conditions and efforts to find solutions.
