She noted that INSAF stands out for its ability to create tangible local impact through its programs and field initiatives, while also maintaining an active international presence that helps bring the suffering of marginalized children to the global stage. She emphasized that the new investigative report is an extension of the Center’s efforts, in partnership with DT Institute, to document violations, raise awareness, and advocate for change—underscoring that protecting the rights of these children is a shared responsibility requiring joint official, community, and international efforts.
The opening remarks also highlighted the report’s importance as a tool for advocating children’s rights. INSAF Center team presented a comprehensive overview of the report, including the background that motivated its preparation, the challenges faced by researchers, and the key documented findings. The event also featured a broad panel discussion moderated by the Center, providing participants with the opportunity to exchange perspectives on the social and political implications of these violations.
Interventions stressed that marginalized children are among the most vulnerable groups facing exclusion and violence, highlighting the urgent need for collective local and international efforts to protect them. Speakers recommended that the report’s recommendations be translated into practical and legislative measures that guarantee their basic rights to education, health, and a dignified life.
