Launch of a Specialized Workshop in Aden to Strengthen the Legal Framework and Judicial Response to Cybercrime Cases
#Insaf_Center_for_Rights and_Development launched today in#Aden a specialized training workshop titled “Strengthening the #Legal Framework and #Judicial Response to Cybercrime Cases,” under the slogan: “Towards Developing an Effective National Cybercrime Legislation.” The workshop is supported by the French Embassy in #Yemen and is part of the project “Cyber Justice for #Women in Yemen (#Brave Women)”, taking place from May 5 to 7, 2026.
This #workshop comes as part of the efforts of Insaf Center for Rights and #Development to strengthen the capacities of relevant authorities and key actors in the legal and #judicial sectors, as well as to raise awareness of the increasing challenges related to cybercrime—particularly those targeting women and #girls in the digital space.
The first day of the workshop included opening sessions that addressed the current state of #cybercrime in Yemen and highlighted the importance of developing a more effective national legal framework. Discussions also focused on ways to enhance judicial response mechanisms in order to better #protect victims and ensure justice in emerging digital cases.
In the coming days, the workshop is expected to cover a range of specialized topics related to national legislation, litigation mechanisms, and legal and procedural challenges, ultimately leading to the development of recommendations aimed at strengthening the cyber justice system in Yemen.
