INSAF Center Launches Specialized Training to Strengthen Civil Society Response to Cyber Extortion
Aden, Yemen – April 12, 2026
Insaf Center for Rights and Development has launched a #specialized training in Aden aimed at enhancing the response of civil society organizations (CSOs) to cyber extortion cases. The training, titled “Strengthening Civil Society Organizations’ Response to #Cyber Extortion Cases,” is implemented under the project “E-Justice for Women in Yemen (Brave Women),” funded by the French government, and runs from April 12 to 14, 2026.
The training brings together 20 participants representing various civil society #organizations, with the objective of building their capacities to effectively address cyber extortion. It focuses on strengthening participants’ #skills in providing psychosocial support, understanding relevant legal frameworks, and improving overall response mechanisms—particularly in cases affecting women and #girls.
The program covers a range of practical and theoretical topics, including safe response mechanisms for #victims of cyber extortion, psychological first aid techniques, available legal procedures, and the role of civil society organizations in prevention, #support, and community awareness.
This initiative forms part of Insaf Center for Rights and Development’s broader efforts to empower local actors, enhance legal and psychosocial protection for women, and address emerging digital threats through sustainable interventions. The training ultimately aims to contribute to creating a safer and more just digital environment in Yemen
