Insaf For Rights and Development Foundation Conducts Training on Social Cohesion and Minority Rights via Zoom
Insaf For Rights and Development Foundation, with the support of the French Agency for Media Development (CFI), has successfully carried out a training course on social cohesion and minority rights as part of their Yamaniyat project.
The four-day training program, which falls under the Yamaniyat project led by the Insaf Foundation, targeted 21 journalists from various Yemeni governorates in its first phase. This is part of a larger initiative that aims to train a total of 72 journalists in multiple stages.
“This comprehensive training program is designed to enhance the capacity of journalists, especially female journalists, to promote social cohesion and protect minority rights through accurate and comprehensive media coverage in Yemen,” stated Iman Hamid, the head of the Insaf Center.
At the conclusion of the training, the course instructor, Trainer Meead Mohamed Juman, highlighted the significant outcomes of the program. “The journalists were thoroughly trained on the topics of social cohesion and minority rights. This has led to several important outputs that have contributed to increasing the cultural and social awareness of the participating journalists,” he said.
The training has equipped the journalists with a deeper understanding of minority issues, the development of specialized journalistic skills, the strengthening of social responsibility and equality, the provision of a voice for minorities and marginalized communities, the promotion of positive interaction with the public, the encouragement of journalistic innovation and creativity, and the in-depth analysis of issues related to cohesion and minority rights. This will undoubtedly enable them to produce well-informed and impactful reports on these crucial topics.
Insaf For Rights and Development Foundation’s commitment to empowering journalists and fostering social cohesion in Yemen is commendable, and this training program is a testament to their dedication to creating a more inclusive and equitable media landscape.
