As a member of the Abaad hub, Insaf Center for Rights and Development participated in the participatory workshop on enhancing advocacy and influence skills in women’s protection, peace, and development issues. The workshop was organized by Oxfam in partnership with the Abaad hub and supported by the European Union in the city of Aden.
The center was represented at the workshop by the Programs and Projects Manager, Mr. Saleem Al-Aghbari, who participated alongside representatives of women’s rights organizations, civil society organizations, and stakeholders in discussing ways to develop advocacy and influence tools, and to translate the outcomes of community dialogues into practical messages and action plans that respond to the priorities of women and girls in the targeted governorates.
The workshop addressed a number of topics related to preparing advocacy campaigns, drafting evidence-based messages, stakeholder analysis, influencing decision-makers, as well as preparing policy briefs and developing communication and influence strategies.
Insaf Center for Rights and Development emphasizes the importance of these initiatives in enhancing the capacities of civil society organizations and women’s rights organizations to lead effective advocacy efforts and to convey the voices of women and most affected groups to decision-making circles, thereby contributing to enhancing protection, justice, and inclusive participation in peace and development processes.
